System Specification & Application Workflow
Pro Tip for Applicators: Always schedule Civilox LV100 primer application during the late afternoon or evening when the substrate temperature is dropping to prevent outgassing bubbles caused by rising temperatures.
1. Surface Preparation:
- Clean concrete substrate in accordance with SSPC-SP13 / NACE No. 6 to expose a clean, sound aggregate profile.
- High-pressure water jetting or abrasive blasting to remove laitance, fats, grease, and degraded concrete.
2. Patching & Profile Restoration:
- Fill bug holes, voids, and deep spalls using a blend of Civilox LV100 and Renderfill / Patchfill aggregate.
- Chamfer internal 90-degree corners with a 20 mm flat cove.
3. Priming with Civilox LV100:
- Apply Civilox LV100 by roller or airless spray (100–200 microns wet) to deeply penetrate, seal, and strengthen the concrete surface.
- On highly porous concrete, apply a second pass to guarantee zero pinholing in the polyurea layer.
4. Spray Application of Tufflon P90:
- Apply Tufflon P90 pure polyurea using plural-component, heated high-pressure spray equipment (e.g., Graco E-XP2 or reactor).
- Build to a seamless nominal thickness of 3000 microns (3.0 mm) DFT in continuous passes.
