PURL-SJ40

PURL-SJ40 is a two-part, closed-cell, polyurethane foam system designed for slab lifting and other applications requiring high-crosslink density, good heat stability, high compressive strength and excellent structural properties. The two components should be processed using plural airless proportioner equipment.

The PURL range is made in Australia under ISO9001. It contains no Ozone depleting potential and is well below the “Greenstar” VOC threshold.

TYPICAL USES/APPLICATIONS

    • Lifting concrete slabs and buildings
    • Anywhere higher density, higher strength foam is specified

Slab Lifting Foam

Slab lifting foam is a trusted choice for repairing sunken or uneven concrete without demolition. Quick to apply and built for strength, it helps you stabilise structures with less disruption. At Liquimix, we supply Australian-made PURL-SJ40 polyurethane slab lifting foam for heavy-duty use across civil, commercial and industrial projects.

Concrete Slab Lifting Foam Provides a Long-Lasting Solution

When concrete sinks due to shifting soil or erosion, slab lifting with foam can help restore it fast. PURL-SJ40 reacts within seconds to expand and fill voids beneath the surface. As it expands, it lifts the slab back to its original position with controlled pressure. This ensures accuracy without damaging the existing concrete.

This foam for concrete slab lifting is a closed-cell polyurethane system. Once cured, it becomes a strong, durable structure that resists water ingress and delivers ongoing support. The foam’s high compressive strength also helps protect against future subsidence.

Use PURL-SJ40 when you need reliable ground stabilisation systems or large-scale void fills. It is ideal for:

    • Warehouse and factory flooring
    • Airport tarmacs
    • Pavement or footpath repairs
    • Concrete roads and driveways
    • House or building foundations
    • Car parks and slab-on-grade structures
    • Runways and highways

PURL-SJ40 polyurethane slab jacking foam cuts down repair time and disruption. The foam is pour-applied, not sprayed, and sets within minutes. Technicians simply inject the mixed components beneath the affected slab using a high-pressure plural component proportioner. The 1:1 mix ratio makes it a great fit for Graco E-10HP and EXP2 Reactors.

With its fast reaction time and thermal stability, this foam handles both small patchwork and large pours. You can quickly restore structural integrity, reopen access, and reduce costs associated with demolition or full slab replacement.

Its pour method also reduces job site waste and clean-up. Thanks to its high crosslink density and predictable rise profile, PURL-SJ40 is a trusted product for efficient slab lifting with foam.

This concrete slab lifting foam forms a one-piece, seamless barrier once cured. The closed-cell structure prevents water from entering voids and softening the ground underneath. Resisting water and chemicals reduces the risk of future soil movement or erosion.

This moisture barrier is significant for projects requiring chemical bunding, waterproofing membrane solutions, or structural integrity in damp environments. PURL-SJ40 performs well in these applications due to its self-flashing properties and high crosslink density.

PURL-SJ40 also supports applications requiring water tank liners or any site prone to long-term moisture exposure.

When you’re dealing with commercial and civil projects, time matters. This polyurethane slab jacking system improves site efficiency thanks to fast installation and rapid cure times. Pouring large volumes becomes simpler with high-output equipment and a foam that expands evenly and predictably.

The PURL-SJ40 also supports long-term cost savings. Its strong compressive strength reduces the need for repeat repairs, and the minimal downtime improves overall job turnover.

The foam complies with ISO9001 standards, is manufactured locally, and contains no ozone-depleting chemicals. It also falls below the Greenstar VOC threshold, supporting environmentally responsible practices across industrial and infrastructure projects.

Choose the right pack size to suit your job requirements:

  • 465 kg drum set for large-scale projects
  • 46.5 kg pail set for smaller pours

Both sizes come with clear 1:1 component ratios and can be used with compatible high-pressure proportioner equipment.

Start with an accurate assessment and planning. Identify the cause of the slab movement – often soil erosion or groundwater issues – and make sure the area is safe and clear. Insert access holes where the foam will be injected, then connect your plural component proportioner. The holes are usually 800mm to 2000mm apart and around 1.5 to 4m deep depending on the location of the project, soil / clay integrity and other environmental factors.

The foam should be mixed and injected evenly using graco equipment [to avoid over-lifting or creating air pockets. Foam expands within 50 seconds and reaches a gel time at around 20 seconds, so precision is important during the application.

Liquimix supports contractors with expert advice and the right epoxy supplies to ensure every project is set up for success. We also supply industrial floor coating and waterproofing membrane products to complement slab repairs.

We supply high-performance slab lifting foam for engineers, builders and contractors who want a practical, durable and cost-effective solution.
