Compatible with a wide range of formulations, LM UV-Shield Additive is ideal for use in high-performance applications such as flooring, protective coatings, and decorative finishes. Whether used in clear or pigmented systems, this advanced additive ensures long-lasting colour retention and surface integrity.
These instructions are for mixing Part A and Part B of a general resin system and adding an UV stabiliser. You will add 1% by volume of this accelerator solution to the combined resin mixture.
Combine Part A and Part B of the resin:
Measure and mix 1: 1 Part A and Part B.
Measure the UV stabiliser:
For every 100 ml of combined resin, measure 1 ml of the UV stabiliser. For a 5 L kit, this equates to adding 50 ml (0.05 L) of UV stabilizer to the mixed Part A and Part B. To ensure accurate dosing, use a measuring cup or pipette, which can be provided by Liquimix, to precisely measure the required volume of the UV additive. Proper measurement is critical to achieve optimal performance and UV protection.
Add the UV stabiliser to the Resin:
Pour the 1 ml of UV stabiliser into the combined 100 ml of resin.
Mix Thoroughly:
Stir the mixture well at low speed for 2 minutes to ensure the UV stabiliser is evenly distributed.
Note: It is essential to thoroughly mix the UV stabiliser into the resin blend. Failure to do so may cause the stabiliser to separate from the mixture, resulting in an oily film on the surface of the cured resin and compromising the performance and appearance of the coating.
